Dubai Chamber Indoor Basketball League
A tournament aimed at basketball players and fans of the sport to enjoy some friendly competition. MPAC Games and Dubai Chamber along with the support of Dubai Sports World introduce the Dubai Chamber Indoor Basketball League. As part of Dubai Chamber’s Ramadan Festival 2013, players can form teams, sign up and go head-to-head at the indoor basketball field at Dubai Sports World.

Ramadan Night Market 2013
The annual market event for retailers around the world during Ramadan. Held in Dubai over 10 nights of Ramadan, the Ramadan Night Market will host a number of retailers from across the world, offering a diverse variety of products to a dynamic community from Dubai and the rest of the UAE.
People from different parts of the world live and work here, bringing their own cultural heritage to this cosmopolitan city. Spending during the Ramadan period and before Eid is significantly higher and customers are always looking for new experiences. No other event of this profile is held during Ramadan. All this points to a huge demand and opportunity for an exhibition.

Dubai Desert Road Run – August 2013
This running event provides a good challenge for both the social and experienced runner. The Dubai Desert Road run consists of a 10km race for adults and children 14+, plus a 3km junior race, with age categories from age 6 to 18, alongside a 3km fun run.
The 10km race and the 3km junior race are individually timed via state-of-the-art RFID Chip Timing. There are trophies for the winners in each age category.
The 3km fun run is not timed individually, and no awards are distributed. The Dubai Desert Road Run is held six times per year, allowing people to map their progress in fitness. Participants are able to enter one run, or register for as many dates as they wish.

Captivating Calligraphy Exhibition
Celebrating the calligraphy of four emerging artists at Art Couture. Artists Noreen Akhtar, Arif Khan, Ahmed Khan and Tahir Bin Qullander will have their calligraphic artworks on display brought together with the collaboration of the Mussawir Art Gallery and Art Couture this August.
Born in 1938, Ahmed Khan is thought of as one of Pakistan’s greatest living calligraphic artists. His works have sold internationally and in the world’s main auction houses. Also from Pakistan, Tahir Bin Qullander steers away from the traditional form of calligraphy, using bold strokes and presenting his artworks in contemporary graphic compositions.
Noreen Akhtar, the youngest of the artists gets her inspirations directly from Arabic, the language of the Holy Quran and the Prophet Muhammad PBUH while Arif Khan is a lecturer at Punjab University who creatively experiments with oil and watercolours on paper.

Art Camp 2013 by Farjam Foundation
The Farjam Foundation brings its annual Art Camp for kids for a fourth consecutive year. The Farjam Foundation’s Art Camp gives children the opportunity to express themselves artistically.
This year, Art Camp will explore the incredible world of contemporary art. Children can learn about the most iconic artists of the 20th and 21st century. Inspired by these legendary artists, Art Camp participants can create their own art works using a wide range of styles and techniques.
A special exhibition at the close of the programme gives children the chance to celebrate their achievements together with their families, teachers and newfound friends. The event is open to children ages 7 to 10.

Arab Idol Live Tour 2013 – Dubai
The Arab Idol series comes to Dubai for the first of three concerts by the Arab Idol Live Tour. Arab Idol finalists for the year 2013, Mohammad Assaf, Ahmad Jamal, and Farah Youssef will perform three concerts this summer for the Arab Idol Live Tour. The first of the trio of concerts will be held in Dubai on August 15, 2013 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Singer Ragheb Alameh will join the three finalists on stage.

4th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships 2013
