A Verse Imprinted – Islamic Arts
This exhibition at the Ara Gallery is a collection of calligraphic artworks. This is an exhibition displaying a collection of calligraphic artworks inspired by the Holy Quran, quotes from the Prophet Mohammed PBUH and Arabic poetry. This exhibition will bring together a group of calligraphers who have adorned their pieces with meticulously chosen words and phrases. This is an initiative by His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

The Arrangement: Amir H. Fallah
This Iran-based artist will be displaying his artwork at the Project Space, The Third Line. Amir H. Fallah will be exhibiting a selection of works in the Project Space, with a solo show to follow later this year at The Third Line. For this display, Fallah works with mixed media and collage in his signature style and will be presenting numerous floral arrangement paintings that have been appropriated from Dutch and Flemish floral still-life images from the Golden Age. This series of paintings brings a fresh take on one of the most iconic painting motifs throughout history.

Rana Begum at The Third Line
This is Rana Begum’s third solo art exhibition in Dubai. Rana Begum works with vibrant colour-coated metal shapes that resemble a kite. Flight, the freedom of movement and a bit of wonder form the structure of her work. The show follows Begum’s well-known methods of working with optical illusion, architectural features and urban physiognomies, with each work of art demanding a level of interaction to be able to see it, and experience it, in its entirety.

Hamleys Summer Island
Hamleys organizes various activities for children every week during Dubai Summer Surprises from Thursday to Saturday every week at The Dubai Mall and Mirdif City Centre.
The activities will vary each week and will include Hawaiian hula dance, hula hoop and limbo competition, water and sand games, beach ball relay, music chair, arts and crafts and summer fashion week. On the whole, it is play time at Hamleys’ Island during DSS.
